Description

The Nursing on the Move training course is a set of self-learning material for nurse / nursing students to reach communication competences in each respective language (CEFR B) in order to carry out dedicated communicative tasks in a clinical setting by means of scenarios: patient-centred care (e.g. handing-out drugs, wound-care, change of position in bed, assistance with activities of daily living), diagnostic procedures (e.g. measuring blood pressure, taking body temperature), distribution of food, change of shift (introducing patients and their cases to colleagues, interacting informally with colleagues). The contents and materials cover the following areas: admission and discharge, observation, history taking, consultation (doctor's round), care and instructing, patient queries and emotions, patient/treatment management, administering medication, administration and logistics, shift handover.

Criteria

To earn this badge the nurse/nursing student should complete a whole NoM training course for a specific language.

Portfolio

The 16 badges are described above in terms of goals, objectives, competencies and outcomes. They can be obtained after completion and can be accumulated in a portfolio or backpack accreditation system.
